Matariki
In Matariki people hunt for the highest place they know, and look for the seven stars and think about their ancestors. You can also have a feast to share food and talk about things that have happened. Matariki is a special time fro Maori people because it shows the time to grow crops. Matariki is able to last from 14th June to 14th July, and some people spend their time to be happy with friends and family by coming together. - Neel
Clay Tiles
Last term we made clay tiles. First we used our rulers to cut out a square then we designed our tile. After that we used our pen to draw out patterns. After that we painted our tiles. Mrs Goundar made a hole in our tile . We hung them up on a fake paper tree. - Xavier

Stormy Night
In Room 3 we are learning that adjectives are describing words.
Our group first did a brainstorm of all the adjectives we wanted to use to describe a "Stormy Night".We tried to use feeling and sound words.
Then we wrote a description by using these adjectives.
This is how we wrote our story:-

Stormy Night
One stormy night, I was in my creaky
bed. Suddenly I heard the howling wind. A second later, I saw a flash of
lightning! Then I heard noises from the rain pounding on the roof. The spooky
experience terrified me. Haroon, who looked out of the window, said it was so
loud and dark that he could not hear or see anything.
